<p>The automatic clutch system is provided between the engine and transmission of a car. It has a membrane connected to the clutch under the action of a fluid motor and control of the fluid against the membrane to declutch. There is also a connection to the engine accelerator. A connection to the clutch controls a fluid exhaust orifice progressively, reducing it when the movement is towards the clutched position. When the accelerator increases engine speed this orifice increases in size. The orifice control is two rotating parts, and co-axial.</p> |
