PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head having a phase angle in the impedance characteristics best suited for apparatus by adjusting the notch portion provided to the jaw part of a pole height. CONSTITUTION:In the magnetic head comprising opposing a wound core 6 and a return core and forming a head gap 1, a coil 5 is wound to the core 6 and a notch part is provided to the jaw part of a pole height 2 forming the gap 1. When this notched portion is notched shallow in the position 3, the phase angle at the use frequency becomes low and when it is deepened like the position 4, the phase angle becomes high. When the need for making the phase angle high occurs owing to a certain reason after the cores 6, 7 have been assembled, the notch portion is deepended from the position 3 to 4, whereby the phase angle may be readily adjusted high. Thereby, the magnetic head having the phase angle in the impedance characteristics best suited for apparatus may be obtained. |
