PURPOSE:To prevent the ignition of combustible ink by series coupling an impedance element to the voltage application circuit, and reducing the spark discharge energy of a deflection electrode less than the ignition limit energy. CONSTITUTION:Protective resistor 7 is housed in the recess of insulating support 11, and embedded by insulating mold 12. High voltage from high voltage source 6 is applied to the one deflection electrode 9a via insulated wire 13, protective resistor 7, and embedded metal member 14. The other deflection electrode 8b is grounded via metallic support 15. Accordingly, since the spark discharge energy at the deflection electrode is rendered less than the ignition limit energy of combustible ink, the hazardous ignition of ink can be prevented. Beside the protective resistor is disposed near the deflection electrode, hence the influence of floating electrostatic capacity can be eliminated so that the electrostatic capacity which contributes to the spark discharge energy can be minimum. Thus, the stability can be enhanced. |
