PURPOSE:To assure the continuity of the serial number of telegraphic message and to prevent the confusion of message arrangement by reading out the content of serial number managing register provided with each terminal with the exchanger in data communication. CONSTITUTION:The serial number fed to the terminal 8 together with the confirming response signal representing the end of telegraphic message from the memory exchanger 1 is used for the print on the back side of transmitted manuscript and is memorized to the serial number managing register 13 provided with the terminal 18. Further, the value of the register 13 is stored until the serial number of the next message is informed from the exchanger 1 and the content of the register 13 is informed to the exchanger 1 with the readout instruction from the exchanger 1. Accordingly, the serial number to the next message is determined by collecting the value of the register 13 at each terminal 8 and the value is stored in the serial number counter of the main memory unit 4. As a result, the continuity of serial number for message can be maintained. |
