Distributor plate for fluidised bed furnace - has pair of coaxial tubes for air and inner tube for fuel oil

The distributor plate for a fluidised bed furnace consists of a pair of co-axial tubes (3, 4) each with an air inlet and outlet. The outlets each comprise a lateral passage through the tube wall. The inner tube projects beyond and has its outlet above that of the outer tube. A further tube (8) has an inlet for a fuel oil and an outlet within the inner tube. The outer tube is connected to a supply of fuel gas, e.g. propane. The outlets have a total cross-sectional area of 0.5 to 2% of the total plate area. Separate air supplies are provided to both the co-axial tubes.
