A bearing assembly as in the main Specification wherein the part containing copper has its bearing surface provided with grooves whioh are inclined at an angle of more than forty-five degrees to the direction of rotary or rectilinear movement. In an embodiment, the grooves are inclined at an angle of 60 degrees to said direction of movement, are 0.1 mm. deep, are 1.5 mm. apart and are produced by milling or hammering. |
