The rapid-heating continuously-fired boiler supplies hot water for central heating and domestic use, running on any fuel currently in use. It is constructed of refractory bricks and protected by corrugated sheet-metal cladding. The flue can be a coil of metal (e.g. copper) tube with curved and straight sections. The curves and straight portions are in the same plane, and there can be several layers of them, mounted directly above the fire. There can be a safety device tapped off the hot-water circuit to protect it against air locks, overheating etc.
|
