The multi-way cam switching cam switching mechanism for a stepping motor with end positions and intermediate positions, has cam members (2) mounted on the control spindle, which operate micro-switches (5, 28). These are attached to segments (33) which rotate on the spindle. Each segment has a curved guide slot on the drive motor housing. The switch arms are in contact with rollers (1, 9) spaced part to match the cam lobes, which carry out the switching operations when the spindle is rotated. Different segments along the spindle carry different microswitches, and selected segments carry the start and stop microswitches (51) on lower extensions (46).
