Central heating boiler exhaust heat reclamation - uses vessel with gas inlets and outlets, and internal gas deflection plates

The reclamation process is for exhaust gas heat of heating burners, using a heat exchange with a fluid cooling medium. The system contains a vessel (16) with an inlet aperture (14) for the warm exhaust gases, and outlet aperture (18) for the cooled gases. Two deflection plates (22, 24) are staggered relative to each other within the vessel. The are positioned at right angles to the direction of flow of the gases, which flow around them. The vessel has a cleaning aperture closed by a flap (46), and an outlet in the base, closed by a tap. The gas outlet from the vessel consists of a pipe coupling, containing a temperature-dependent fan (44).
