An automatic weapon has a striker pin (6) which passes through a breech rear closure plate (3) then through a stop member (9) which is pushed rearwards by a spring inside the breech and through which the striker pin also passes. These components are designed for easy extraction of the pin in the event of damage. The pin has a lug (7) extending each side and the closure plate has a hole (21) through it, with a slot (13) each side, so that the lugs can pass through. The lugs then enter a recess with helicoidal sides (14) in the rear of the stop member. Each lug is chamfered to match the helicoidal surfaces.
