<p>A flavoured chewing gum with prolonged sweet taste comprises gum base, an ester-gum, and artificial sweetener (0.02-15 wt % based on gum base), interdispersed in the gum base. It is prepd. by incorporating the artificial sweetener in the ester gum before incorporating the ester gum in the gum base, combining the resulting combination with the gum base ingredients, and mixing this with one or more flavours and sweeteners to frm the chewing gum. The ester gum controls release fo the artificial sweetener. The compsn. is shelf stable. The sweetness level remains stable for >=30 min. of chewing.</p> |
