<p>New water-dispersible, liquid adjuvant compns. for use in combination witn an insecticide contain 45-70 wt % vegetable oil, 25-50 wt % vegetable flour, and 1-12 wt % surface active agent. Pref. compsns. contain 2-25 wt % vegetable oil, 5-50 wt % vegetable flour, 1-12 wt % surface active agent, 0-75 wt % clay, and 0-95 wt % sugar, the compsn. contg. >=20 wt % clay and/or sugar. Used as carrier for insecticides, esp. gastric-poison and/or light-sensitive insecticides. The compsns. are partic. suitable for use in conjunction with microbial insecticides, e.g. Bacillus thuringiensis, or the viral insecticides. In an example, a liq. compsn. is produced by mixing crude cottonseed oil (50 pts) with surface active agent (5 pts) for 30 secs. in a Waring blender, adding defatted soya bean powder (45 pts) and vigorously stirring 5 mins. The prod. is a viscous but pourable soln. with good dispersibility in water.</p> |
