The device has an invertor (1) converting DC into HF AC voltage with sufficient amplitude. The invertor has two output terminals (3, 4) whose voltage is symmetrical relative to a reference voltage. A control stage (7) generates mains frequency and operates a switch (2) with output (6), connected to the invertor (1) output terminals (3, 4). The output (6) is connected during a first half-period of the mains frequency to be collected to one terminal (3 or 4) and during the second half-period to the other terminal (4 or 3), so that the mains voltage can be collected between the output (6) and output (5) at the reference potential.
