The equipment for adjusting the line of vehicle headlamps has a rotating cam acted on against the stay shoe between the pistons, by a return spring around a guide rod. The spring presses at both ends on the casing and the head of the guide so as to oppose return forces of the headlamps caused by hydraulic liquid. The lever has a small flexible tongue, the upper end of which engages in a rack fixed to the case to as to maintain the chosen adjustment position.
