The vehicle has wheels designed to run on rails with restricted side movement. The restriction can be external flanges (21) rubbing on the rail sides. For a rubber tyred vehicle, tyres, turn horizontally and contact vertical guides. The running surface of the tyres is inclined inwards. Each wheel has a body on to which a tyre is shrunk and held on an internal seating which prevents the wheel moving outwards, by acting as a stop.
