A cylinder (1) is placed over the outlet of the main jet (2). It contains a piston (4) which is held at one end by a flexible membrane (3) and pressed forward in the cylinder by a spring (7). A cover (6) attached to the cylinder forms a chamber on one side of the membrane and pump pressure is admitted into this. If the pressure drops sufficiently the piston is pulled back against the spring. In the forward position the piston closes the main jet outlet and allows flow only through a smaller calibrated opening (5) in the cylinder. In the withdrawn position it uncovers the larger main opening.
