The record storage cabinet (1) has a set of parallel dividers (2) allowing records to be inserted vertically, through the cabinet side. On the flap (7) opening down from the cabinet side is a cursor (6) which extends across the flap, and is able to slide along the length of the cabinet. The cursor carries a record extractor (4) enabling records to be removed without being touched. Windows (10) in the cursor line up with a scale of numbers allowing a selected record to be identified.
