The compounds of the formula I <IMAGE> (for the meaning of the symbols R, R1 and R2 see Patent Claim 1) have adrenergic ss-blocking, antiarrhythmic, antilipolytic and antihyperglycaemic properties. They can be used as medicines. They are prepared from the aminoalcohol of the formula <IMAGE> by etherification.
