Water-tight cable union for cable TV system - has rubber washer sealing cable end to housing and compressed by nut

The water-tight cable union esp for cable t.v. systems has a flat seal (2) between the housing (1) to which the coaxial cable is being connected and the end face (11, 12) of the cable (11). A nut (7) presses the seal home to seal the cable and the housing to the cable's feed-through. The flat seal is shaped like a washer through whose centre the cable's inner conductor passes and is made of rubber. The housing may have a stepped bore to receive the seal, a sleeve (3) and a pressure ring (4) and an internal thread receiving the nut.
