Control of insect eggs comprises treatment with bendiocarb of formula (I), pref. before any significant emergence of larvae has occuried. (I) can be used together with another pesticide, esp. alpha-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl 2-(4-chloro phenyl)-3-methyl-1-butyrate; O,O-dimethyl-O-4-nitrophenyl-phosphorthioate or N'-(4-chloro-4-methylphenyl)-N,N-dimethylmethanimidamide (or its acid salts), pref. at wt. ratio 1:10-10:1. Application is pref. 0.05-4 kg (I) per hectane. (I) is already known as a pesticide and is now found to kill eggs of Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera,. It is esp. useful for control of pests on maize rice, and cotton, specifically Heliothis species and Alabama agrillacea. |
