The motor vehicle boot lid has a wide opening angle. The hinge part (12) is pivoted on the hinge bracket (14) by two parallelogram arranged hinge arms (17, 18). These curved hinge arms are pivoted on the vehicle body. The pivot point of one hinge arm is fixed on the body while that of the other arm slides along a straight guideway (25).
