The tool head (13) carries esp. a cutting plate (14) positioned within a diametrical plane and is arranged eccentrically (e) to the longitudinal central axis (18) of the shaft (10). The head (13) with support shaft (12) and the main shaft (10) form a constructional unit. The support shaft (12) together with the head is positioned eccentrically in the same radial direction relative to the shaft (10). The longitudinal axes of support shaft and head coincide and have the same eccentricity relative to the central axis (18) of the main shaft (10). This arrangement facilitates fully automatic machine operatin including tool exchange.
