The clamp has a screw which presses a contact with a blade against the rail socket (12). To the screw is connected an earthing cable. One shank of the rail socket is used for clamping of the contact, which consists of a U-shaped stirrup (11). Against one inner surface of the stirrup arm (14) abuts a wedge (13) while the clamping screw (15) pulls the wedge against a stirrup strip (16). Preferably the wedge surfaces for abutting against the rail socket shank and of the other stirrup arm (17) enclose a sharp angle. These wedge surfaces may be fitted with sharp, toothed ribs (18, 19) or pyramids. The stirrup or the wedge may have a bore (20), or an eyelet, for securing the end of the earthing cable.
|
