The caravan table stands on a single column and is raised and lowered (to form the bed base) by means of a jib mechanism. the table top runs on two parallel side arms, and has locks to lock it in its raised or lowered position. A pre-stressed spring is incorporated in the jib-arms. The arms (3, 4) have slide pieces (8) with tension springs (9), and slits (10, 10A) in the top (1) and bottom (2) parts. The tension spring (9) is tightened from the bottom axle (6) of the top part (1) to the top axle (6) of the bottom part (2). The tension spring (9) has a screw (15).
