The closure member (4) which can be brought into locking engagement with an opening in the lock tongue (5) is designed to swivel about an axis of rotation (13) which is fixed in the lock housing (1) at right angles to the push-in direction of the tongue (5). The closure member is biased in the unlocking position by the biasing spring (6). When the latter is at least partly stretched the closure member is held in locking engagement with the tongue (5) by a contact part (3) which moves with the slide button (2). In the open position the closure member has a stable position because the biasing spring (6) for the slide button (2) also biases the closure member so that after actuating the button and opening the lock the closure member remains in the open position.
