<p>Machine for mixing and kneading rubber and other plastic materials comprises a horizontal cylindrical housing contg. a rotatable agitator. The circumference of the housing has >=1 inlet opening with a charging hopper in which a ram is located. The ram is arranged to move back and forth through the hopper, sealing the inlet opening at one of its end positions. The end of the ram facing the agitator, is recessed and provided with radial ribs. The ram is equipped with a rotary drive. Rotation of the ram eliminates deposition of material in the dead zones between the inlet and the agitator.</p> |
