The drive system is used for deformably clamping a cable end shoe on an electric cable. It incorporates a pedal actuated pump for supply of the pressure medium to the tool. The supply channel incorporates a releave valve, also actuated by a pedal. A second spring loaded valve is automatically operated by the liquid pressure, thus forming a hysteresis valve. - The two valves are directly in parallel and located between the pressure medium channel, behind the pump, and the pump low pressure side. When open, the hysteresis valve draws automatically the volume of the pressure medium, required for pressure relief. This pressure relief is interrupted only when the pressure in the channel drops considerably.
