Facsimile transceiver with memory - mixes data signals with stored code signals describing characters

The video data transmission system (facsimile transceiver) has a memory retaining character code signals. A mixer reads the code signals from the memory and mixes them with the data signals for transmission. The mixer may either add the code signals to the data signals logically or inhibit the data signals whilst permitting the code signals to pass to the transmitter. The mixer's output is compared and modulated onto a carrier prior to transmission.
