For the hot-runner indicator device temperature scanners are fitted to every axle, with signals carried within the train to an indicator in the driver's cab. Pref. four sensors are used in a conventional bridge arrangement. All those for one train unit can be linked in parallel to a double lead passing from vehicle to vehicle. - Pref. temperature-dependent semiconductor devices may be used. Alternatively, the sensors each consists of two bimetallic members.
