The combined electrical and hydraulic actuator housing holds a piston and cylinder with pump and electric motor. This drive is used for actuating spring-loaded brakes of lifting and transport machines. The solenoid (16) within the housing (1) is arranged co-axially to the piston rod (14). The piston (13) of ferromagnetic material is in contact with the yoke (15) of the solenoid when the piston is in its top position. This yoke has a magnet-actuated contact (20) in the electric motor (3) power circuit.
