The invention relates to a cation-exchange membrane which is made of a fluorocarbon polymer and contains sulphonyl groups. The membrane is reinforced with a fabric and one of its sides is treated to a depth of at least 10 microns - after the application of the reinforcing fabric by compression in the hot state - with a primary amine or a secondary amine, or else a mixture thereof in order to aminate the bulk of the sulphonyl groups. |
