Urea derivs. of formula (I) are new: (in which R is R1, COR2, CONHR3 or COOR4; R1 is unsubstd. 1-10C alkyl, substd. 1-4C alkyl or opt. substd. benzyl; R2 is linear or branched opt. unsatd. 1-8C hydrocarbyl (opt. substd. by Cl, Br or CN); R3 is linear or branched 1-11C alkyl (opt. substd. by CN or 2-5C carbonyloxyalkyl) or phenyl (opt. substd. by Me, NO2, CF3 or Cl); R4 is an opt. unsatd. 1-4C aliphatic gp.; Q is CN, CONH2, COOH or COOR5; R5 is 1-4C alkyl; if R1 is a substd. 1-4C alkyl gp., the substit. is vinyl, 2-4C alkynyl, 2-5C alkanoyl, 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl, 4-5C alkenoxy-carbonyl or alkynoxy-carbonyl, N-alkylcarbonyl or N-cycloalkylcarbanoyl with is not >7C or N-phenylamino-carbonyl (opt. with a lower alkyl and/or Cl-substd. phenyl gp.); if R1 is benzyl, the aromatic part can be substd. by Me, MeO, methylenedioxy, NO2, CF3, (benzoyl, chlorobenzoyl, dichlorobenzoyl, Ph or PhO gps. or 1-4 Cl atoms). (I) are used as fungicides, opt. in conjunction with extenders and/or surfactants. They are effective for protection against Plasmodiophoto-, Oo-, Chytridio-, Zygo-, Asco-, Basidia- and Deutero-mycetes; give esp. high protective and curative action against Phycomycetes; and good action against Mycosphaerella and Rhizoctonia types and rusts. They can be used for treating seeds, roots, parts of plants above ground and soil. In a certain concn. range (I) are also effective as plant growth regulators. |
