Solid electrolyte capacitors having conductive counterelectrodes are substantially finished prior to severing the anode wires from the carrier bar by applying an insulative coating over each counterelectroded body and thereafter forming metal-loaded end-caps over the ends of each body to provide terminations by which the capacitor may be flush mounted to a printed circuit board.
