PURPOSE:To change the number of output codes only by replacing a code converter used for a data processor, and to change the number of output codes corresponding to input codes. CONSTITUTION:In the code converter which converts one code into several codes by being supplied with the input code to be converted and its control code, the input code is stored in input-code register 12, the contents of which are applied to code converter circuit 14, and the ROM, etc., provided to code converter circuit 14 generates output codes equivalent to the input code with the control code from control register 17. The circuit in this constitution is provided with next-output decision circuit 19 which determines whether or not the output code should be sent out depending upon the contents of next-output transmission informatiom signal line 18 of circuit 14, and control register 17 is controlled by the output of this circuit 19. Then, the number of output codes can be changed by the variation of circuit 14. |
