PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient mechanical strength with the handling simplified, and to make electric characteristics excellent by electrically connecting a conductor a microstrip line, placed on the flank of a ridge waveguide, to one terminal of a cylindrical connection part. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric substrate 3 is places on flank 8 of ridge 2 and conductor 4 of the microstrip line (composed of substrate 3 and conductor 4) is connected electrically to cylinder connection part 7. Connection part 7 is shaped in a conventional tab elongated by length l in parallel to surface E of waveguide 1 and normally adhesion-fixed to flank 8 formed with the flank of ridge 2 closed. Althrough the length of connection part 7 can be fixed freely, its width (a'') should be narrower than width (a') of the ridge. As a result, connection part 7 has sufficient mechanical strength and, in consequence, is strong against stress from any external part; and then, it also maintains sufficient airtightness in the case a method such as pressure adhesion is used for the connection to conductor 4. |
