PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition simultaneously having preventive and treating effects against the wide plant diseases of fruit trees and vegetables and also having effects against chemical-resistant germs by combining a specific pyrazole derivative and an acylalanine germicide having an oomycete disease- controlling action. CONSTITUTION:An agricultural and horticultural germicide composition contains one or more of pyrazole derivatives of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are lower alkyl; R<3> is alkyl, alkenyl, haloalkeny, phenyl, fulyl or thienyl) [e.g., 2-(1,3- dimethylphrazol-4-ylcarbonylamino)-4-methyl-3- pentenenitrile] and acylalanine germicides having oomycete disease-controlling actions (e.g., metalaxyl, furalaxyl or benalaxyl) preferably in a composition ratio of 1:0.5-1:5 as active ingredients. The composition does not exhibit any chemical damage against cultivated plants and also has extremely low toxicity against fishes. |
