The electrode has a pin-hole stop consisting of a cup-shaped metal foil with a hole for electron passage. The foil is inserted in a hole of a round electrode to which it is fastened. At first the foil (2) is placed to cover the electrode hole, and is fastened to it. Then the foil is drawn to the cup shape by pulling it through the electrode hole, with the round electrode serving as the drawing die. Finally the hole is made at the bottom of the foil cup.
