The concrete moulding equipment for making shaped articles such as treads for staircases has an upper pressure member (2) and a lower pressure member (1) enclosed between several rectangular floor mounted frames (17) forming a moulding space (3) between them. The pressure members (1, 2) are mounted on two pneumatic cushions (21) with a vibrator between them. The pneumatic cushion is acted upon by pressure pulses from a pulse generator, giving the duration, shape and amplitude of the pulses. The upper pressure member can be stationary and the lower member attached to the pneumatic device.
