Pulverised coal combustion system - keeps coal concn. and speed of emergence constant for part of burner

The combustion system gives optimum use of pulverised coal in steam generators, and partic. improves part-load operation and reduces the min. load possible without auxiliary firing. For part of the burner the pulverised coal concn. and its speed of emergence are kept virtually constant over the entire load range. The ballast ingredient, consisting of smoke, water vapour and infiltrated air, is blown in over the remainder of the burner with variable coal concn.
