The water tower has a metallic structure, having two or more two-dimensional hinging two-part support frames (1). The tower has a high-level tank (2) forming a unit with them and equipped with rigid flanges. The tank is of U-shaped or open concave cross-section and of steel or alumininum with an upper belt section. The necessary completing components (9) are fitted between the feet of the supporting frame, and all sections are rigidly secured together. The completing components can be end plates (5), cover plates and struts (9).
