Plastics profile, especially for a door or window frame is bonded with an internally palced metal profile, e.g. an aluminium profile, with a mainly similar transverse profile, the surfaces of the plastics profile and of the metal profile being at least partly in contact with each other. Plastics profiles for use in door and window frames are normally subject to deformations arising as a result of the action of sunlight, and this prevents a good sealing of the doors or window frames being obtained. The provision of the metal profile within the plastic profile effectively prevents the deformation of the outer plastics profile, by providing good thermal conductivity between the outer and inner surfaces of the profile. The plastics profile pref. consists of PVC. |
