<p>The auxiliary mechanism is for the formation of planks into stacks or packets. It comprises a horizontal conveyor (22) running along one side of the stack (30) at right angles to the planks (10). Parallel to and below this conveyor is a conveyor belt (32) running round rollers with vertical axes (34, 36). Conveyor and belt can be mounted on a common movable frame adjustable vertically, and also in the lengthwise direction of the planks. The belt can be driven in either direction, and it can be mounted nearer the stack than the conveyor, being covered by a deflector mounted vertically above it.</p> |
