A dry training apparatus is used for practising for long distance skiing. It consists of a ski element equipped with wheels and to be attached by a binding to the boot of the trainee. The ski element (1) corresponds to the degree of elasticity of a long distance and it is fitted with one wheel at each of its' ends and there are friction elements (5) supported on the ground at an angle used as a bar against back sliding and having a turnable bearing on the ski element. The ski element consists of a plastics reinforced wood laminate of a length of 500 to 800 mm and a width of about 50 to 60 mm.
