PURPOSE:To easily remove the ink or dust, etc. on the surface of feed roll by passing a cleaning tool having an adhesive layer with an adhering force in a predetermined range formed on a sheet material through between said paper feed rolls. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning tool has an adhesive layer 2 with an adhering force in a predetermined range formed on a sheet material 1. When the cleaning tool is allowed to pass through between paper feed rolls, minute dusts or the like adhered to the surface of the feed rolls are moved to the adhesive layer, thereby cleaning the surface of the feed rolls. The adhering force of the adhesive layer 2 is in the range 0.1-50g/2.5cm. An adhesive agent mainly composed of natural rubber, synthetic rubber or the like is applied. When the adhesive agent is applied to the sheet material 1 made of a thin paper, synthetic paper, nonwoven fabric or film, it is so arranged that the adhering force is rendered weaker at an end portion of the sheet material than at the central portion thereof. Moreover, a non-adhesive portion 3' is formed at the end portion of the sheet material where the adhesive layer 2 is not present. In some cases, a release layer is formed in the non-adhesive portion 3'. |
