<p>Wall for a coke oven with its external surfaces facing the carbonising chambers and enclosing transverse partitions separating the various gas channels from each other, consists of different elements, pref. cast in situ. the vertical joint zones of which extend from one hot gas channel to the next or else from one external surface to the other, each across a transverse partition, while all the joint zones are interconnected by ceramic anchoring elements embedded in the elements and more esp. are arranged in labyrinth form. Enables the frequency of repairs to be markedly reduced, and permits largely mechanised and relatively rapid assembly, thereby reducing the costs of initial erection and subsequent repairs.</p> |
