<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to give several users a great amount of sound information at the same time, by storing a disc memory with sound information compressed at its optimum at every kind of information. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to kinds of sounds, sound information is PARCOR (partial correlation)-compressed or PCM-modulated previously before being stored in disc buffer memory 3. Sound information to be outputted, when PARCOR-compressed, is inputted to digital switch 11 via buffer memory 4 and PARCOR synthesizer and the information, when PCM-modulated, is read out from buffer memory 9 while being time-expanded by time-expander 10 and then inputted to switch 11. Through the control of CPU1, digital switch 11 changes over buses to select the PARCOR information side or PCM information side, and the information is outputted in words by way of D-A converter 6, low-pass filter 7 and audio output equipment 8.</p> |
