PURPOSE:To secure the control of the power supply and the reception channels for the picture main body through reception of the control signal extracted selectively via the switch circuit and transmitted. CONSTITUTION:At controller 20 located separately from picture receiver main body 10, the control signals for the power supply ON/OFF and the channel switching are obtained from control signal generator circuit 41 by the key operation through keyboard 25. This control signal is modulated 43 and supplied to transmission part 44 to be transmitted via the ultrasonic wave, light, electric wave and the like by switching previously change-over switch 42 to contact M. The signals received 11 at main body 10 are demodulated 13 via amplifier 12 and then decoded 14, and the extracted ON/OFF signals of the power supply are supplied to power circuit 15. At the same time, the extracted channel information is written into memory 16, and the output undergoes channel selection 18 via channel control circuit 17.
