1412075 Lubricating IC engine valves FRANCE ARMED FORCES MINISTER OF 3 April 1973 [6 April 1972] 15991/73 Heading FIB An annular cavity 13 in the valve guide 4 of a supercharged engine valve 1, e.g. of a diesel engine, communicates permanently with the guide interior, a pressure equal or close to atmospheric pressure via a passage 12 and an oil supply passage. The cavity 13 is at a distance approximately equal to the valve stem diameter from the end of the guide adjacent the valve head. The passage 12 may be formed by a groove or flat machined on the guide and communicating with the rocker chamber. The annular cavity (16), Fig. 2 (not shown), may be formed in the guide exterior and communicate with the guide interior through radial bores (15a .... 15e). |
