PURPOSE:To reduce the horizontal dimensions of the air conditioner without decreasing the efficiency of blow-off. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchange 4 is provided in a main body 3 having a suction port 1 and a blow-off port 2. A turbox fan 7 is installed behind the head exchanger 4, thereby reducing the depth of the interior unit. An accommodation space 20 for electric parts and heat exchanger connecting pipe is overlapped on the slow air zone of the blow-off port 2. In a casing 6 having a bell mouth 5, the turbo fan 7 is connected to the rotary shaft 10 of a motor 9. The heat exchanger 4 is placed on a drain pan 12 on a support plate 11 integrated with the bell mouth 5. Since the accommodation space 20 is located at the side of the slow part of the blown-off air, the discharge efficiency is not reduced. Because the accommodation space 20 can be enlarged by the dimension overlapped with the blow-off port 2, the horizontal dimensions of the main body 3 can be decreased. |
