PURPOSE:To considerably enhance the wear resistance of Fe-Si-Al type Sendust alloy whthout lowering the actual permeability and saturation magnetic flux density by adding a msall amt. of C to the alloy. CONSTITUTION:0.01-2.0wt% of C is added to Fe-Si-Al type Sendust alloy contg. Si; 4-11wt% and Al; 3-8wt%. Since the addn. of C remarkably improves the wear resistance of the alloy but deteriorates the mechanical workability, the alloy is carburized to improve the lowering in mechanical workability. Thus, the endurance life of the alloy is considerably improved when the alloy is used as the head core of an audio head, etc. |
